‘Play On’ Concert at the Royal Albert Hall 23-4-15

Woodcroft Choir performed with 1200 other singers and musicians from across Barnet as part of ‘Play On’. This was a spectacular concert organised by BEAT, Barnet Education Arts Trust, celebrating the birthday of William Shakespeare on St George’s Day!

It was the culmination of 6 months preparation for our school, learning the songs, working with English Pocket Opera and practising for the big event.

We spent the day in London and had lunch in Kensington Park. Then, after rehearsals, we performed in front of a packed house.

Ms Sherring was chosen as one of the conductors. It was a proud moment for our very own music teacher to be conducting a massed choir and orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall.
