PE and Sport Premium for primary schools
The PE and Sport Premium Grant is designed to help primary schools improve the quality of the PE and sport activities they offer their pupils.
Woodcroft received a grant of £9875 for 2015-16
We are using the direct funding for sport to increase the quality and provision of gymnastics across the school. This is a two year programme.
A PE specialist teacher has been appointed to provide every class with an hour of gymnastics on a half termly rotation within each year group. His role includes planning gymnastic specific lessons, delivering the lessons, mentoring the class teachers and assessing pupil progress. Within the sessions he is also providing the class teachers with training in team teaching sessions and working together with them to improve the quality of gymnastics.
