Shakespearean England Comes To Woodcroft
Year 5 created a special immersive experience and transported visitors back to the time of Shakespeare in Elizabethan England.
Parents were guided through the Oak Suite where pupils acted in character, recited shakespeare, performed Elizabethan dances and presented their amazing work.
Pavillon Opera Perform Verdi’s Macbeth
The stimulus for Year 5’s work was a curriculum project in association with Pavilion Opera Education Trust who performed Verdi’s ‘Macbeth’ in its native Italian here at Woodcroft. This amazing performance,by a full company of 17 operatic performers, was the culmination to a terms study of the play, Shakespeare and Elizabethan England.
