Christmas Shows

We have enjoyed a series of fabulous Christmas shows over the past two week. All of our three different productions from Foundation Stage,  Year 1 and Year 2 were full of seasonal music, singing, dance and drama. Well done to all of the pupils for their fantastic performances, and thank you all of the adults who helped bring these wonderful shows to the Woodcroft stage.

Spotacular Children in Need Day

spotacular cin 2016Woodcroft had a ‘Spotacular’ day on Friday 18th November when we took part in Children in Need. We started our events before school, with choir and guitar club busking on the playground.

All of the pupils and staff had made a donation and arrived at school dressed in their spotty themed costumes. Evan Mrs Court, our Chair of Governors, joined in the fun. We also had a crazy assembly where the teachers had to do a ‘spotty’ challenge with velcro balls. It was all very exciting as you can seen from the photos below. Thank you to everyone who made a donation. We raised a grand total of £575!

IMG_1073We enjoyed another successful International Day on Thursday 20th October. All our pupils looked wonderful as they came to school dressed in the traditional clothes of their families’ home countries.

At the end of the school day, Friends of Woodcroft had organised an International Cake Sale with donations from across the school community. Parents had baked traditional cakes or decorated them in the colors of their national flags. The sale raised over £300 with proceeds being put towards the purchase of dual language books for the school library.
