Year 2 performed to an audience of family and friends on Monday 11th June. As part of Woodcroft’s commitment to providing an extended music curriculum they have had a weekly drumming workshops with Mr Shaverin from BEAT (Barnet Education Arts Trust). Year 2 built on the success of the Spring Term’s spectacular Samba drumming with Ollie Tunmer from Beat Goes On, learning traditional drumming rhythms and traditions from West Africa. This fantastic concert was both a culmination of Year 2’s hard work and the final musical showcase of the school year – well done to the Year 2 staff and pupils, and all our amazing musicians at Woodcroft!
