Deputy Head, Mark Russell, helps our cyclists whizz up smoothies for breakfast.

Tuesday 17th May was Cycling Day at Woodcroft. Supported by Sustrans, we started with a ‘Bikers Breakfast’. We had over 30 children who cycled to school enjoy fruits, yoghurt, croissants and brioche. They also got to make their very own smoothie on the ‘smoothie bike’.
After lunch we were joined by Arthur Shearlaw, a ‘Bike It Officer from Sustrans, the cycling and sustainable travel charity, who took assembly and introduced a new competition.
We then ‘Ditched our Stabilisers’ after school with a special learning to ride session for our younger riders.

Woodcroft’s Dance Club fundraising at ASDA – click on the image above so see them all working hard.

Our J Rock Dance Club were busy fundraising on Saturday 14th May. They were helping customers pack their bags at the check-outs and collected a fantastic £580! The group are raising money towards the cost of transport and costumes to take part in the Southern Regional Finals of Junior Rock Challenge. Well done to the club for such a fantastic effort, and thank you to ASDA Colindale for allowing us to visit. Click here for more photos…

Barnet West League Champions!

The netball champions of Barnet West following a stunning 19-1 play-off victory over Courtland School.

Congratulations to our fantastic netball team. Following an undefeated season in their league pool, on Wednesday 27th April they were victorious in the play-offs against Courtlands School. Woodcroft were crowned Barnet West Champions! This is an amazing achievement, and the first time Woodcroft has won the Netball League. Well done to the entire team and their coaches, Mr Patel and Mr Rees.

Their outstanding season is not over yet as they are due to play in final of the Barnet Cup, this time against Barnfield. Let’s hope their success continues!

Friday 18th March was Sport Relief Day and we were raising money by having a special non uniform day. Our staff and pupils came to school dressed in their favourite sports kits to represent an inspirational person. (more…)

Percussion, Woodwind, Brass and Guitar Performance

Our Boomwhackers started show with a bang!

On Friday 11th March our percussion club, woodwind and brass players, plus senior guitar group performed to family and friends. All of the pupils played with confidence, including our younger musicians who impressed us with their developing skills. Well done to all of the fantastic music staff for enabling every pupil to progress and play so well. (more…)
